Sage & terracotta colour palette: earthy hex codes for your planner

Sage green and terracotta, with sand and a deep olive. It’s the colour of a plant on a clay pot, and it makes a busy week look settled.

Where each colour goes

ColourHexUse it for
Work (sage)#8A9A7BWork blocks, in a green soft enough to look at all day
Health (terracotta)#C47A45The warm one, for walks, workouts and cooking
Personal (sand)#E8D5B7Evenings, weekends and time with people
Goals (deep olive)#4A5340Long-term plans, in the deepest colour here
Accent (dark olive)#404737Buttons, today’s date and highlights
Protected time (pale sand)#F2E8D7A soft wash over your protected time

One warm colour among the greens

Two greens and a sand would be restful but flat. The terracotta is what wakes the palette up: it’s the only warm, strong colour, so it goes on Health, the short blocks you most want to notice. Everything else stays quiet around it.

Your week in sage & terracotta

The week at the top of this post is a real week in Anser, in the Summer Picnic style with the Bold look for categories, so every event shows its full colour. To get the same look, open Settings › Appearance › Colours › How categories look and choose Bold. The palette works in every style.

An earthy, unhurried week

  • Open a window first thing. Five minutes of air before the first task.
  • Water the plants on Sunday. A small job that marks the week.
  • Cook one slow meal. Something that takes an hour and can’t be rushed.
  • Walk without headphones once this week.
